Yes you will. It is our belief that retention is for life! Teeth have a tendency to continually move throughout a lifetime, so the more we can do to prevent that, the better. We can provide all necessary retention as part of our all inclusive ‘Q’ package, or individually for clients not taking up this option. Any patient not taking up this option will assume responsibility for the teeth drifting back to their original position.

As with all tooth movements, treatment comes with a calculated risk. QuickStraightTeeth™ takes every precaution to make sure this procedure is as safe as can be. If we feel there is any risk to the health of the teeth during treatment, we can offer the patient and client the opportunity to be evaluated by our Clinical Director, in order to give further reassurances. We have successfully provided over 5,000 treatments to date, with no reported incidents of any kind.

Patients who have a mild to moderate crowding or protrusion of their front teeth could well be suitable for treatment with QuickStraightTeeth™. Most partner practices will offer a free consultation and we will give our complimentary advice also.

As with all orthodontic treatments, QuickStraightTeeth™ will take a short space of time for you to adjust to the clear brace. QuickStraightTeeth™ has developed a range of clear braces that reduce discomfort significantly. Our patients have only ever felt minimal discomfort for a couple of days, after which your mouth adjusts to the newness of the appliance. We have had no complaints about any major or long term discomfort.

As with all other types of Orthodontic treatments, the cost of QuickStraightTeeth™ is dependent on the complexity of your case and the course of treatment provided.

This will depend on the products used during your treatment. On average, patients visit their dentist every two to four weeks. QuickStraightTeeth™ has a range of Q Appliances, all of which have slightly different uses. Each patient’s case will use different Q Appliances, altering your dentist appointment frequency. You will be told exactly how often you need to attend after your first consultation with your dentist.

The total duration of treatment will depend on the complexity of the treatment. Our average treatment time is 1 – 6 months depending on complexity. You will be given an estimation of the total treatment time after a consultation with your dentist.

Some patients may experience temporary, minor discomfort for the first few days at the beginning of each new stage of QuickStraightTeeth™. This is completely normal for all orthodontic treatment and is actually a sign that the clear braces are working towards straightening your teeth! As your teeth gradually move, any slight discomfort typically goes after a few days. On rare occasions, patients may resort to a mild painkiller, used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

Our studies have found that brushing and rinsing your clear braces daily, using lukewarm water and a thistle brush (available at most supermarkets) is the best practice for cleaning. We would also recommend cleansing the appliances in accordance with the instructions enclosed in the initial pack which is sent out with all Q Appliances. Remember to brush and floss your teeth after each meal before re-inserting your aligner, to maintain good hygiene.

We advise against anything that may put stress on your teeth during treatment. Chewing gum will inevitably do this so we do advise that you remove your clear braces while chewing gum. Gum will stick to aligners and may affect your warranty. We recommend that you remove your clear braces at all times while eating.

We strongly discourage smoking while wearing the aligners because it can stain or discolour your retainers, making them a lot less clear. However, although not recommended, you may smoke once the retainers have been removed from your mouth, but any damage caused to the appliance as a result of smoking will not be covered in your warranty.

Most patients report little or no effect on their speech during the treatment. However, similar to traditional orthodontic braces, some patients find there is an initial adjustment period associated with having something new in your mouth. Many patients quickly adjust to this change.

You need to wear your aligners (clear braces) at all times during treatment apart from when eating, brushing or flossing teeth. Remember our clear braces will only work if you’re wearing them! Ideally, a patient should wear the aligner for 20 hours a day, every day. Any less and the treatment could take longer to complete. Remember, we want you to achieve results quickly! It is acceptable to remove the appliance for special occasions, such as photographs or important meetings, but it should be replaced as soon as practicably possible.

Unlike traditional orthodontic braces, made with metal wires and brackets, you are able to eat anything during the QuickStraightTeeth™ treatment. Naturally your teeth will be a little sensitive during any orthodontic treatment, so you should be sensible when eating “hard” materials. Our treatment allows you to remove your clear braces quickly and comfortably when it comes to eating, so QuickStraightTeeth™ will not restrict you from any of your favourite foods or drinks. Remember to brush and floss your teeth after each meal before re-inserting your aligner, to maintain good hygiene!

Appliances from QuickStraightTeeth™ are specifically designed to have minimal disruption to everyday life. The clear braces used have no bulky material. Your appearance will have minimal disruption. Previous patients have stated that they went through treatment without anyone noticing.
